A Social Distancing Shoot

A Social Distancing Shoot

LE and rb

LE and RB, as they will be known, were spending their last weekend together until the 'lockdown' relaxes a bit more. They asked me if I would spend some time with them out in the garden and I was more than happy to oblige.

With social distancing become more of a restriction on our daily activities, it was a relief to have an opportunity to do another photo shoot. The daffodils were still out which gave the shoot a distinctly Spring-like feel which was multiplied by the absence of coats from all of us. The Sun was low in the sky as we were heading into the afternoon which gave me the opportunity to play with some flaring. We set off on our usual route round the garden, Lottie the dog was in tow and made sure to know her presence was felt as often as possible. As you can see by the a number of photos, these two have a deep understanding of each other but also love having a laugh together too. This is one of many things I love to see during photo shoots, it shows that the couple are relaxing and enjoying themselves.

In terms of some flaring, there are a few photos where I have tested out some different skills to what I usually would. LE and RB were very patient with me as I lay all over the gravel and grass, aiming to get the right angle and I ended up switching my focus from Auto to Manual to capture them through the flare. The effect is quite magical and a bit mythical.
